PRODUCING ENERGY BY USING PRODUCTION CHAIN WASTE

Cogeneration systems can be powered by agricultural and livestock farming biogas produced by anaerobic digestion of materials found on farms, which are a source of combustible by-products, and, thanks to cogeneration, of renewable energy.

Typical agro-industrial waste by-products are, for instance: milk serum, which contains proteins and sugars from the dairy industry, liquid waste from processing of fruit juices or alcohol distillation, as well as liquid and/or semi-solid waste from meat processing.

Agro-industrial biogas directed into a cogeneration system produces electricity and heat, both as hot and cold water.

  • Energy to be sold to the distribution network
  • Steam
  • Hot water for mud in digesters, some production processes, and heating during winter months
  • Cold water(7°C/12°C) for AC and winter processes.
